Health and Safety
The Council has a legal duty to monitor and regulate where
necessary various aspects of the immediate environment which could
have a direct effect on the health and safety of its citizens or
visitors to the area and due to the nature of this work
partnership has long been a feature for this section. The
main areas covered are as follows:
Where formal enforcement action is considered in respect of any
legal breaches the sanctions applied will be those detailed in the
individual enforcement policies operated by each section.
These policies have been prepared using the guidance contained
within the Service's Charter for Good Regulation which was approved
by the Community Safety Committee on the 24th of March 2010. Copies
