Food Safety Management System seminars
All food businesses are covered by The Food Hygiene (Scotland) Regulations 2006 which requires them to implement and maintain a Food Safety Management System.
To assist businesses in the implementation of this requirement Perth and Kinross Council regularly run a Food Safety Management System Seminar which is available to food proprietors and staff.
The Seminar is free to all food businesses within the Perth and Kinross area and is intended for proprietors and / or members of staff involved in the day to day running of a food business.
The Seminar is a one off, lasts approximately two hours, and is delivered in a relatively informal manner.
Many of businesses which have already attended the seminar have found it to be beneficial in developing their own Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
The delivery of the seminar is reviewed on a quarterly basis as a result of feedback received. Feedback (positive & negative) received from January 2007 to December 2007 is available as a download or by contacting the Food Safety Division by telephone or email.
