Economic Development Unit
The Economic Development Unit within Perth and Kinross Council
implements the Council's strategy to promote development
opportunities and help companies grow and create
employment. One of our key aims is to work closely with our
partners and other agencies to ensure that we deliver a service
that meets the needs and aspirations of the business community.
We have as a local authority highlighted a number of aims
through our Economic Development Strategy and these include:
- Ensuring an adequate supply of serviced land and buildings for
industrial and office developments
- Providing support for new and existing businesses through
targeting key sectors
- Promoting Perthshire as a business and conference location
- Supporting new employment and training initiatives
Latest economic data
Economic Development Unit also monitors a range
of indicators and gathers a variety of economic data and
statistical information. We use this information to produce a
bi-monthly e-publication, Perth & Kinross Economic
Journal.
