Who are we?
The Perth and
Kinross Social Economy Partnership was established in 2004 with the
launch of the Scottish Executive Futurebuilders programme. The
partnership includes members from Perth and Kinross Council, Perth
and Kinross Association of Voluntary Services, Perth College,
Perthshire Housing Association, CheckIn Group and Wood Again
CIC.
What is our role?
To encourage
and support the social economy and by doing so increase the range
and supply of organisations available to deliver identified local
services in Perth and Kinross.
How can we help?
We offer
training and development for individuals looking to develop a
business with a social aim and social economy organisations that
are developing into a social enterprise. We also cover topics
requested by you and hold events to help you engage with the public
and private sector. We have previously held events involving social
media, legal structures, procurement, private businesses and
developing social enterprise. Other services we can offer
include:

Enterprising Month
Are you a charity, community group, social
enterprise?

We are running a programme of free events for individuals and

We are on Facebook
We have launched a Facebook page where you can follow us for the most up to date
information regarding the social economy sector.
Just Enterprise
Just Enterprise will deliver business
support towards securing operational and sustainable growth and
resilience to social entrepreneurs and third sector organisations.
£4M will be provided through the Enterprise Growth Fund.
Grants of between £25k and £200k will be awarded to
enterprising third sector organisations who demonstrate how the
funds contribute to growing and sustaining their organisation. For

Perth & Kinross Social Enterprise Development
Fund
This small fund has been made available by Perth & Kinross
Council for 2011/12 to assist potential and existing social
enterprises in the crucial stages of development. The emphasis is
on creating and developing sustainable business with a social aim.
We encourage applications from the following groups:
- Individuals and groups wanting to start up a business with a
social purpose
- Existing social enterprises with a development project
- Charitable organisations looking to bring in revenue through
enterprising activities
For examples, please consult the case studies in the downloads
section. Applications from existing private companies considering
starting a social enterprise arm of their business are welcome.
The fund offers financial assistance up to £3,000 within a
12-month period and covers a variety of costs depending on business
need. Up to £500 streamlined process exists and is
offered to pre-start-up organisations and individuals. For more
