Perth and Kinross Social Economy Partnership

Who are we?

The Perth and Kinross Social Economy Partnership was established in 2004 with the launch of the Scottish Executive Futurebuilders programme. The partnership includes members from Perth and Kinross Council, Perth and Kinross Association of Voluntary Services, Communities Scotland, Business Gateway, Scottish Enterprise Tayside and Churches Action for the Homeless.

What is our role?

To encourage and support the social economy and so increase the range and supply of organisations available to deliver identified local services in Perth and Kinross. 

How can we help?

We offer training and development for social economy organisations that are developing into a social enterprise. We also cover topics requested by you and hold events to help you engage with the public and private sector. We have previously held events involving procurement, private businesses and developing social enterprise. Other services we can offer include:

- Funding through the Social Enterprise Development Fund
- Business Planning, templates, advice, mentoring 
- Marketing,  Tools & Techniques, advice, funding 
- Financial Assistance,  Training courses, business support 
- IT,  Key contacts, advice and training 
- Events, raising awareness of sector 
- Training Courses, based around sector demand 
- Updates in Legislation, On website to assist sector 
- Sharing of information, other events & activities 
- Signposting to relevant service/individual/resource 
- Building partnerships,  holding forums with one stop shop users 
- Linking key people together 
- Linking with other support groups

Events & Updates

Understanding Social Enterprise Course
The Social Economy Partnership in conjunction with the Social Enterprise Academy are holding an 'Understanding Social Enterprise' training course in November 2008. If you would like to attend or require more information please contact Shelley Hague on 01738 477950 or email salhague@pkc.gov.uk.

Scottish Investment Fund

The purpose of the Scottish Governments £30m Scottish Investment Fund is to build capacity, capability and financial sustainability in the third sector, ensuring a strong and active third sector reaches its potential and makes a key contribution to the national outcomes of the Scottish Government. In order to achieve this the fund will support enterprise in the third sector through investment in individual organisations supported by integral business support and management development. The fund will offer a significant investment package for organisations in order to make a transformational step - change in their capacity, capability and sustainability.
