Sports and Outdoor Activities

Perthshire is the Adventure Capital of Scotland, offering a wealth of sports and outdoor activities. As well as the traditional activities of walking, cycling, angling and golf, Perthshire has a range of unique outdoor experiences (36 in total) - all within a compact area and all with a firm accent on safety and fun.

This area sits astride the Highland Boundary Fault, the natural phenomenon which fused the Highlands and Lowlands together many thousands of years ago. Today this same 'Fault' provides the area with the terrific mix of terrain which forms the playground for many of the outdoor pursuits, be they on land, water or in the air.

Here in Perthshire you'll find world class fishing, walking routes ranging from waymarked forest trails to lofty treks in the mountains, great cycling routes both on and off road and an unsurpassed range of golf courses to satisfy all abilities.

Revitalise your senses with a spin in a sphere, test your nerve with a spot of cliff jumping and canyoning, enjoy an eagle's eye view with a microlight flight, or simply get loser to nature with a relaxing Highland Adventure Safari.

The Perthshire Tourist Board can help you find further information through their Adventure Perthshire Hotline on 01577 861186. Their knowledgeable staff are able to check availability and make bookings for whichever activity(ies)
you prefer.
