Pitfour FC

A highly regarded local football club have become the
latest to receive the Perth and Kinross Accredited Club Excellence
(PACES) Award. Pitfour F.C. already have the accolade of
being the first football club in the region to achieve the
Scottish Football Association Quality Mark - a measure of
the high standards of playing, coaching and
administration within the club. The club is actively
involved with the local community, providing a safe, enjoyable
environment to play football and encouraging parent participation
in the club.
Formed in 1996, the club are based at St. Madoes with an intake of
boys from across Perth, Stanley and Dundee and compete in the Under
14 Dundee and District Youth Football League. Recent
fundraising has enabled the club to take trips to Wales and Spain
to play in friendly matches.
The club has been working with various local partners including
Active Schools Co-ordinators and SFA Development Officers to
deliver opportunities for youngsters of all abilities across the
Carse of Gowrie to take part in football sessions lead by
qualified coaches. Currently, sessions take place at
St. Madoes on a Wednesday evening for P3 and P4
pupils.
