Community Plan
Our new
Community Plan [pdf - 2.6mb] is a long-term strategy, taking us
to the year 2020 and beyond.
The reason this is such a long term plan is because it takes time
to bring about real, sustainable improvements in key areas such as
health and wellbeing, the economy and our environment. The
purpose of our
Community Plan [pdf - 2.6mb] is to provide the strategic
direction for Perth and Kinross over the longer term, setting out
what we want for our area, communities and individual people (our
vision), and how we are going to make this happen.
As a Partnership, we believe we can only achieve our vision through
a community planning approach. Put simply, this means
organisations, communities and individuals working together towards
common aims. A statutory framework exists to ensure public,
private and voluntary sector agencies work together to plan and
deliver better services for our local communities. A
fundamental part of our joint working in Perth and Kinross will be
to build on the work already undertaken with individuals and
communities to identify and address their needs.
The primary audience for this
Community Plan [pdf - 2.6mb] are the people and organisations
who plan and deliver services. The intention is that this
document will give common purpose to our joint working and add
value to the services we provide.
