Change and Improvement
"No matter how good we are, there is always room for
improvement".
Continuous improvement is the result of ongoing
review, evaluation and the will to change, with a need for
increased focus on performance outcomes as well as internal
processes.
In Education and Children's Services, we will encourage and support
all employees to commit to the pursuit of excellence in all aspects
of the Service by:
- reflecting and implementing the Statement of Intent for
Education & Children's Services
- meeting our statutory responsibilities for improvement
building
- meeting national priorities
- meeting local, Corporate and community planning expectations of
an excellent service
- creating and sustaining the capacity for improvement
- ensuring tougher, more intelligent self-evaluation and
accountability
The
purpose of this policy statement is to support change and
improvement in a manner that responds to the needs of citizens, the
delivery of excellent services and the promotion of Best
Value.
We are committed to promoting, supporting and conducting our
business through a clear framework of internal and external
evaluation throughout Education & Children's Services.
