Education & Children's Services announce the publication of
the new
Standards and Quality Report [pdf 1MB] for 2009 -
2010.
What is this report about?
This report has been based on the self-evaluation of Education
and Children's Services, and has been structured to reflect the
approach taken in the Council's self-evaluation guide - 'How Good
is Our Council?'
This report evaluates the whole Service which includes Education
Services, Children and Family Services, Cultural and Community
Services, Information Technology Services and Support Services, and
contains progress against targets that were set for 2009 -
2010.
Over the past year the Service has concentrated on three key
Service priorities:
- Raising achievement for all;
- Supporting vulnerable children and families; and
- Improving the quality of life for individuals and
communities
Staff play a key role, along with parents, our support services,
partner organisations and elected members to effect improvement on
a year on year basis.
