Homelessness Strategy
The Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 places a statutory duty on all
local authorities to produce a Homelessness Strategy for their
area.
Perth & Kinross Council's current Homelessness Strategy aims
to:
- Show the links between national housing and homelessness
priorities and local requirements.
- Identify the broad picture of priorities to tackle
homelessness.
- Set out our intentions to work, with our partners, to minimise
homelessness.
- Show how the housing circumstances for homeless households will
be improved.
The Strategy sets out what Perth & Kinross Council is
planning to do, in co-operation with our partners, to address the
above issues over the three-year period 2009-2012. Every effort has
been made in the preparation of the Strategy to take account of the
views of all stakeholders and the Council welcomes any further
comments that you may have. Perth & Kinross Council looks
forward to working in partnership with you to implement the
Homelessness Strategy.
The full Homelessness Strategy can be read from the link on the
right.
