Local Housing Strategy
The Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 requires local authorities to
undertake a comprehensive assessment of housing needs and
conditions, and to produce strategies to tackle the housing
problems in their areas. As a result, Perth & Kinross
Council has produced a Local Housing Strategy (LHS) which covers
the period 2011-2016. It sets out a five year vision for
housing.
Investment Priority Themes
The four main investment priority themes are:
- Addressing housing requirements
- Promoting sustainable and mixed communities
- Improving stock conditions and energy efficiency
- Assisting people with particular needs
