Housing Needs and Demand Assessment
If the Local Housing Strategy is to make a difference we need to
understand the housing needs of the area.
The Perth & Kinross Council Housing Needs and Demand
Assessment provides updated estimates of need and demand for
housing for the local area. In particular this estimates the need
for affordable housing - such as housing available to rent from the
Council and housing associations, and low cost houses for sale.
In October 2008, the Council, in consultation with its partners,
commissioned Arneil Johnston consultants to deliver a comprehensive
analysis of housing need and demand in order to determine the range
of housing need, demand and affordability issues within the area;
and to provide robust and reliable evidence to support the
LHS.
