We recognised that it was important that our
residents had the opportunity to help inform the important and
very difficult decisions that were taken in deciding the Council's
budget priorities.
To ensure residents had the opportunity to have their say, we
undertook a range of consultation and engagement activities.
Consultation is also ongoing with individual service users and
groups on relevant proposals which have already been approved and
this will continue.
Consultation and engagement activities
Below is a summary of consultation events held between November
2010 and January 2011:
Engagement Events
- The Council's Leader and Chief Executive met with
representative groups from across Perth and Kinross during December
2010 and January 2011. The results of these
consultation groups [pdf - 40kb] are now available.

Viewfinder / Online Questionnaire
- A special consultation exercise was launched in November 2010
with the 1,400 residents who form our citizens panel (Viewfinder).
An online questionnaire on the Council’s financial priorities
was also made available on our website for all residents to
complete.
- The results of both the
online questionnaire [pdf - 260kb] and the
Viewfinder questionnaire [pdf - 179kb] are now available.

We will continue to keep residents informed through our website,
the local media, at local meetings and through Perth and Kinross
News, the Council's newsletter for residents.
