Highland ward by-election result
Kate Howie has been elected to represent Highland - Ward 4 on Perth & Kinross Council.
The results of the Perth & Kinross Council by-election in the ward are as follows:
Kate Howie (Scottish National Party) 1891 votes
Graham Rees (Scottish Conservative and Unionist) 940 votes
Andrew Kenton (Scottish Liberal Democrats) 229 votes
Anne Chatt (Scottish Labour Party) 97 votes
Out of an eligible electorate of 7,282 people, 3,178 votes were cast - a 43.6% poll.
A total of 21 invalid votes were cast.
Provost John Hulbert said: "As Provost I would like to welcome Kate Howie onto Perth & Kinross Council. I'm sure she will find it a huge honour to serve her local community, and I Iook forward to working with her for the benefit of Perth and Kinross."
