Songs of Gaelic Scotland come to Strathearn
Distinguished singer/writer Dr Anne Lorne Gillies will perform Songs of Gaelic Scotland at a special event in Crieff.
Anne will perform songs from her award-winning book 'Songs of Gaelic Scotland' at Strathearn Community Library on Wednesday 15th February. She will explain their history, and paint a vivid picture of the lives of Gaelic-speaking people from Perthshire to the Outer Isles, Mull to Manitoba.
Slides (pictures and line-by-line translations) will bring the lyrics of every song alive for non-Gaelic-speakers.
Tickets cost £5 for the event, which starts at 7.30pm. Light refreshments are included.
