Bestselling thriller author to visit AK Bell Library

International best-selling author Ken McClure will visit the AK Bell Library on Thursday 1st March to talk about his work.

Ken is an award-winning scientist as well as the author of medical thrillers such as The Lazarus Strain, The Gulf Conspiracy, Eye of the Raven and Past Lives. Born and brought up in Edinburgh, Ken studied medical sciences and cultivated a career that saw him become a prize-winning researcher in his field. Using this strong background to base his thrillers in the intriguing world of medicine, he is now the author of over 20 novels and his work has been translated into over twenty languages.

His latest book, Lost Causes, is the ninth novel in his series featuring ex-Special Forces medic Dr Steven Dunbar.

Ken will talk about his background in science and medicine and how this is often used as a basis for his fictional stories.
