Join the Children's Panel and help children and young people in need of care and protection
Would you like to help local children and young people who are at
risk or in trouble to get the support they need? Then Perth and
Kinross Children's Panel are looking for people like you to join
them in this vital role.
Recruitment is underway now for new members of the Children's
Panel, a vital part of Scotland's Children's Hearings system,
through which public volunteers address a wide range of situations
where a child or young person is in need of care and protection or
has committed an offence.
Panel members can come from all walks of life - what's important is
having the ability to listen, communicate effectively, be able to
take difficult decisions, and empathise with children. You also
need to be able to commit the time required to participate in
hearings. If you think you could fit the bill, please get in
touch.
