Strathmore Dementia Information Café starting soon

A new drop-in café and information point for people with dementia, their family members and carers living in the Strathmore area begins next week.
The first session will be on Tuesday 31st January 2012 at St Catherine’s Church Hall, George Street, Blairgowrie, between 10am and 12 noon.
The drop-in café will meet monthly thereafter, on the last Tuesday of each month. This is a joint project with Perth & Kinross Council's Strathmore Day Opportunities service and Alzheimer Scotland Dementia Advisors.
Information stalls with details of local groups, services and events will be available at the café, as well as the chance to chat over tea and coffee. There will also be the opportunity to speak to an Alzheimer Scotland Dementia Advisor and social work and health professionals.
