Taster session for people interested in gaining housing qualification
Last updated | 27/01/2012
Perth and Kinross residents are invited to come along to a ‘taster day’ to find out more about training opportunities to gain a nationally recognised housing qualification.
The Council’s Housing & Community Care Service works in partnership with independent training organisation Just Housing to run regular Resident Academies.
The latest of these Academies will offer training to be a Quality Panel Member or Community Researcher.
Quality Panel Members carry out inspections of the services provided by the Council to check standards and make recommendations for improvement.
Community Researchers gather information and research issues in their local community to advise the Council on how to improve services and meet local needs more effectively.
The roles of Quality Panel Members and Community Researchers are unpaid volunteers, although expenses will be reimbursed.
People who successfully complete the training will gain a Chartered Institute of Housing Level 2 Certificate.
The taster session is being held on Saturday, 25 February, 10am-4pm in the Salutation Hotel, Perth. It will provide an opportunity for people to find out more about the accredited training course and what it would require from you, without any obligation.
To sign up for the Taster Day please email tenantparticipation@pkc.gov.uk or text PARTICIPATE followed by your name and postcode to 07786200690.
