Following the storm force winds of yesterday 3 January, work
continues to clear fallen trees and restore power to areas across
Perth and Kinross.
Roads
All main roads are open in Perth and Kinross. The
Council’s Roads Service worked throughout yesterday and
continue today, with contractors, to clear a number of fallen trees
and branches to make roads accessible and safe for use. Motorists
are reminded that particular care should continue to be taken as
they may still encounter debris on the roads following the strong
winds.
Power supply
Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) has advised that a number of
homes remain without power in Perth and Kinross. While SSE work to
restore power, anyone affected who needs assistance should call SSE
on 0800 300 999 to discuss support available.
