New Recycling Point for Dunkeld
Recycling for residents in Dunkeld has become more convenient with the introduction of a new Recycling Point.
The new facility, located at the Atholl Street carpark in Dunkeld, provides recycling for glass bottles and jars, steel & aluminium food and drink cans, aerosols, aluminium foil, paper and textiles.
Environment Convener, Councillor Alan Grant, said: "Most residents local to Dunkeld already receive paper and garden waste collections from the kerbside and these new facilities will make it even easier for them to recycle more of their household waste.
"Dunkeld is a very popular place for tourists to visit, especially during the spring and summer, so these facilities will also provide them with an additional service."
A community information board will also be on site to provide information on how the Recycling Point is performing in terms of tonnages collected, advice on how to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle waste and details of other recycling initiatives.
