New Recycling Point for Glenfarg

Recycling for residents in Glenfarg has become more convenient with the introduction of a new Recycling Point.

The new facility, located at Greenbank Crescent, near Arngask Primary School in Glenfarg, provides recycling for glass bottles and jars, steel & aluminium food and drink cans, aerosols, aluminium foil and paper.

Environment Convener, Councillor Alan Grant, said: "The majority of residents local to Glenfarg already receive paper and garden waste collections from the kerbside, and these new facilities will make it even easier for residents to recycle more of their household waste.

"Perth and Kinross already has a high recycling rate, the most recent figure is 36% and this new recycling point provides local residents the opportunity to recycle more of their waste and contribute to increasing the Perth and Kinross recycling rate even further."

A community information board will also be on site to provide information on how the Recycling Point is performing in terms of amounts collected, advice on how to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle waste, and details of other recycling initiatives.
