Perth Chinese Lunch Club members hold open day

The Perthshire Chinese Community Lunch Club held an Open Day today (Tuesday 29 July) to attract new members.
The Lunch Club has met at Riverside Stadium in Perth since January 2008 and is a great place for the local Chinese community to socialise and take part in activities. It is organised by Perth & Kinross Council and facilitated by the WRVS.
Future dates for club meetings are:
• Tuesday 26 August
• Tuesday 23 September
• Tuesday 28 October
• Tuesday 25 November
• Tuesday 23 December
The club meets from 12 noon until 3pm, with lunch served at around 12.30pm by WRVS volunteers. A contribution of £2.50 is made by members at each meeting which goes toward the overall running costs of the club, which is also contributed to by the Council.
In September, NHS Tayside staff will attend the club to give a talk on hypertension and to give a general health check to those in attendance. In October, there will be a talk on diabetes.
Talks and activities will also be organised for meetings in August, November and December. Any suggestions from members are welcomed.
