A recent event held in Crieff to highlight safe car use by young people was well-attended by the local community.
The event, held on Friday 20 June and organised by a partnership of local agencies (Perth & Kinross Council, Tayside Police, Tayside Fire and Rescue and BASICS [British Association of Immediate Care Scotland], saw members of the public of all ages in attendance. It was supported by a number of local businesses, including Burnbrae Garage, Methven Motors and Strathearn Engineering.
All those attending were fascinated by the dramatic step-by-step demonstration of emergency services in action, and young people enjoyed the chance to demonstrate their tyre changing skills in a competition provided by Chisholm’s Recovery Specialists from Perth.
The winners of the competition were:
1st - Cliff McLean and Mark Boyle, who won one hour of quad biking for four people, donated by Crieff Hydro.
2nd - Robert Blair and Ewan Pirie, who won two signed pictures of the F1 Ferrari team, donated by Perth & Kinross Council's Youth Services team.
3rd - Ross McInally and Michael Young, who won two Yokohama t-shirts, donated by Wheels Around.
