Flood prevention advice sessions to continue into August and September
Perth & Kinross Council and the Scottish Flood Forum, supported
by SEPA, Scottish Water and Tayside Fire and Rescue, will be
continuing to run drop-in sessions in the coming weeks offering
free information and advice to residents on how they can help
protect their properties from flooding.
Sessions were initially organised on 23rd/26th/27th and 28th July
after recent heavy rain caused flooding locally. Further
opportunities have been arranged at Fairfield Neighbourhood Centre
on Fairfield Avenue in Perth, with the next session on Wednesday
4th August 2010 between 4pm and 6.30pm.
The sessions will be held weekly after that, as follows:
Monday 9th August, 4-7pm
Monday 16th August, 4-7pm
Monday 23rd August, 4-7pm
Monday 30th August, 4-7pm
Monday 6th September, 4-7pm
Details of any further sessions will be announced in due course.
