New recycling point for Tulloch residents

Recycling for residents of the Tulloch area of Perth has just become more convenient with the introduction of a new Recycling Point.

The new facility is located within the car park of the Tulloch Institute, on Tulloch Terrace and has containers for recycling green/blue, brown and clear glass bottles and jars.

Perth and Kinross has one of the highest recycling rates in Scotland, currently 42%. The Council, however, is continually working to encourage more recycling by providing Recycling Points closer to where local residents need them.

Environment Convener, Councillor Alan Grant, said "In areas such as Tulloch, where residents already have the kerbside recycling service for other materials, Recycling Points such as this mean that they can now also recycle their glass without having to travel too far."

Perth & Kinross Council would like to thank the Tulloch Institute, and Perth & Kinross Leisure, for their support and assistance with this project.

For further information about what and where you can recycle, home composting or for any other recycling queries, please contact the Customer Service Centre on 01738 476476, email recycle@pkc.gov.uk or visit www.pkc.gov.uk/recycle.
