Free Craft Afternoons at the Museum in July
Last updated | 30/06/2008
Parents looking for activities to amuse the kids during the summer holidays need look no further than Perth Museum and Art Gallery this July.
On Friday 4 July, Steve MacAllister from Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre will lead a workshop on shadow puppets. Kids can create their own puppet inspired by the bugs in the Museum’s collection. There will also be the chance to examine pond life under the microscope with Natural History expert, Mark Simmons and enjoy other bug-related art activities.
On Tuesday 8 July, the creative team will help young visitors make a hat or a badge with a summer theme. There will also be the opportunity to study toys from the past and make a finger-puppet.
Both craft sessions are free and there’s no need to book. The events begin at 1.30pm and runs until 3.30pm at the Museum in George Street. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and activities are suitable for all ages.
