International Women's Day celebrated with special event

International Women’s Day will be celebrated on Saturday 8 March 2008 with a day of workshops and alternative therapies aimed at women of all ages.
This annual event is being held at Perth Grammar Community Wing and is being organised by the Be Yourself Group, a group of enthusiastic volunteers who meet throughout the year to plan the day.
Around 200 women from across Perth and Kinross are attending the event which will be opened by Jane Spiers, Chief Executive of Horsecross. The Be Yourself Group is supported by Perth & Kinross Council and the crèche is provided by Playstart from the Council’s Childcare Strategy team.
