Blooming Artists sees pupils' talents flower

Last updated | 27/05/2008

The annual Blooming Artists exhibition, showcasing the artistic talents of children and young people at Perth and Kinross schools, opens on Tuesday 27 May 2008 at the Studio Theatre, Mill Street, Perth.

A wide range of activities, creative ideas and skills are shown in the various works on display, produced by pupils at nursery, primary and secondary schools locally. Paintings, drawings, 3D works and computer-generated art will be featured in the exhibition, brought together by the Council's Expressive Arts Co-ordinator and visiting teachers of art and design.

Lifelong Learning Convener, Councillor Liz Grant said: "Blooming Artists provides a real opportunity for parents, staff and the wider public to see the breadth of creative ideas and artistic talent that we have in our schools. It is always a highlight in the year and I hope it will again be well-visited."

Blooming Artists will be open to the public from 10am to 6pm daily between Tuesday 27 May and Sunday 1 June. Admission is free.
