Kirking of the Council 2008

This year’s Kirking of the Council will take place on Sunday 11 May in St John’s Kirk of Perth.
A procession of Councillors and senior Council officials, joined by the Lord Dean of Guild, flanked by the High Constables and led by Perth & District Pipe Band, will depart at 10.30am from the foot of Perth High Street and process to the Kirk via Tay Street, South Street, St John Street and North St John’s Place.
The Church Service will include lessons read by the Council’s Chief Executive Bernadette Malone and Provost of Perth and Kinross, Councillor John Hulbert.
Following the service, the procession will return to the Council Buildings via North St John’s Place, King Edward Street and High Street.
