Community Campus Update – November 2010 [PDF: 297Kb] This report gives an update on the progress of the community use of the Community Campuses.
Community Learning & Development Strategy 2009-2012 [PDF: 623Kb] This strategy sets out our vision for community learning and development and outlines a way forward based on partnership working and shared values.
Culture Matters – The Big Listen [pdf: 596kb] This report provides members with information about a programme of engagement with current non-users and users of cultural services, which will inform the design of the services for the future.
HMIe and Care Commission Inspections – summary report [PDF: 411Kb] This report provides an overview of the key findings of inspections carried out over 2010/11 and sets out our approach to implementing improvement actions.
National Pilot – How Good Is Our Culture & Sport [PDF: 322Kb] We were invited by the Scottish Government and the Voice of Chief Officers of Culture and Leisure (VOCAL) to participate in the national pilot of a draft quality improvement framework for culture and sport services in Scotland.
Perth & Kinross Accredited Club Excellence Scheme [PDF: 307Kb] This report provides an update on progress in implementing the Perth and Kinross Accredited Club Excellence Scheme (PACES).
Perth & Kinross Cultural Strategy 2011 ‘Quality For Life’ [PDF: 731Kb] The strategy outlines a bold and ambitious vision, that Perth and Kinross ‘will be one of Scotland’s best cultural locations to learn, to live and to work & visit’, and sets out how partners will achieve this.
Securing the Future for Culture and Leisure Services [pdf – 351kb] This report provides an update on the progress of engagement with the Boards of Horsecross and Live Active Leisure (LAL) since the Council meeting on 29 June. It also provides an update on progress in developing a new arm’s length delivery model for culture and leisure services, and seeks approval for a range of proposals including a move to sole member status for the companies with the Council as the sole member for both Horsecross and LAL as well as increasing the collaboration across both organisations.
Standards and Quality in Schools, Pre-School Centres and Community Learning and Development – various summary reports The inspections and reviews carried out are central parts of the approach to quality improvement in Scottish education. Regular reports are submitted to the Executive Sub-Committee of Lifelong Learning Committee setting out the key findings and areas for improvement following inspections of schools, pre-school centres and community learning and development services.

Improving Local Neighbourhoods: a Strategy for Neighbourhood Management [PDF: 641Kb] The paper sets ideas for Neighbourhood Management and reports progress on joint work done to Improve Local Neighbourhoods.
Local Housing Strategy The Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 requires us to undertake a comprehensive assessment of housing needs and conditions, and to produce strategies to tackle the housing problems in their areas. This strategy sets our vision and an action plan to meet emerging housing needs and demands.

Community Recycling We actively encourage community participation of waste related projects and have several ongoing community projects in the area.
Economic Development Strategy 2009 – 2014 This strategy sets out a strategic framework and long term vision for jobs and opportunities in Perth and Kinross.
Regulations To Deliver Zero Waste: A Consultation on the Proposed Zero Waste (Scotland) Regulations 2011 [PDF: 339Kb] This consultation paper contains a package of regulatory measures initiating a step change in how waste will be managed in Scotland, provides background context to the regulations and set out our response to the consultation.
Review of Kerbside Waste and Recycling Collection Arrangements [PDF: 504Kb] In an attempt to provide equity of service, a review of all kerbside waste and recycling services was deemed necessary. The review proposes changes to mixed food and garden waste, general waste and dry mixed recyclate collections.
Scotland's Zero Waste Plan [PDF: 510Kb] The Scottish Government published this plan to provide a framework for investment over the next ten years and to set out key areas of activity and priorities for the next five years.
State of the Environment The State of the Environment contains information within nine key areas which highlight the environmental issues facing our region. Its purpose is to provide a diagnostic tool that will help to inform plan-makers, decision-makers and the community about the condition of the environment.
Tourism Strategy 2006 – 2011 [PDF: 174Kb] This strategy sets out some of the key issues that need to be addressed if this area is to maximise the benefit of national growth and contribute to achieving the national vision.
VisitScotland Partnership Agreement 2011/12 [PDF: 297Kb] This report outlines the basis for the 2011/12 Partnership Agreement and the tourism information related services which will be undertaken with the Council’s financial support.
Waste Management Plan 2010 – 2025 This plan provides clear strategic direction for future municipal waste management taking into account the public consultation exercise that was undertaken for the draft Plan and the publication of Scotland’s Zero Waste Plan [PDF: 510Kb].
