Building Development – standards and guidelines |
Building Standards have a wide range of responsibilities that
relate to almost all building and alteration works and their
overriding purpose is to safeguard people in and around buildings
and the conservation of fuel and energy. |
|
Development Plan |
This plan made up of the
Structure Plan and the
Local Plans which show how much development may take place,
where it will take place and where it is unlikely to be
allowed. |
|
Local Plans |
These contain detailed guidance on where we will encourage
development and where it is unlikely to be allowed. They are
an essential point of reference for anyone who wants to build in
Perth and Kinross or to know what could be built in your local area
and each plan provides a statement of the planning policies and
proposals for that area. |
|
Structure Plan |
This plan, together with the
Local Plans, is used by us for making decisions on development
proposals and should be used by citizens before making or
commenting on a planning application. |
|
Sustainable Development Framework |
To demonstrate its commitment and leadership we have agreed a
Sustainability Framework to help us be more systematic about how we
promote our sustainability objectives. |
