Complaints procedure We intend to provide the best services possible. Sometimes, things may go wrong and if this happens we want to learn from our mistakes and improve the services we provide.
Complaints Report (October 2010 – March 2011) [PDF: 488Kb] This report outlines the performance of the Council Complaints Procedure for the period October 2010 to March 2011.
Customer Service Standards Report (April 2009 – March 2010) [PDF: 362Kb] As part of our drive on improving customer focus, performance against our standards are monitored and reported annually.
Development Control Committee The remit of the Committee is to exercise the development control functions of the Council as Planning Authority and as a Building Control Authority.
Residents Survey and Citizens’ Panel Viewfinder offers a cost-effective method of consultation, enabling well-targeted research and consultation using a robust sample with expected high response rates.
Scottish Public Services Ombudsman Reports 2010 [PDF: 326Kb] This report provides information about investigation reports published by the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman regarding the Council from May 2007 to October 2010 and complaints received by him about the Council in 2009-10.

Homelessness Strategy 2009 - 2012 In compliance with the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001, we have produced this strategy to set out what we plan to do, in co-operation with our partners, to address homelessness issues over a three-year period.
Joint Strategy for Adult and Carers and Parent Carers 2011 – 2014 [PDF: 143Kb] This strategy sets out the principles which the Council has agreed to deal with carers in the future.
Learning Disability Best Value Review [pdf – 1mb] The report updates on the completion of the Best Value Review of Learning Disabilities Services Implementation Plan and evidences the significant improvements that have been achieved in services for adults with Learning Disabilities and their carers’.
Perth & Kinross Violence Against Woman - Towards an Integrated Strategy - Addressing Violence Against Women 2010-13 [pdf – 2mb] The Perth & Kinross Violence Against Women Partnership is a multi-agency group with membership from the statutory and voluntary sector. A key aspect of this plan is to prevent violence against women across key organisations and communities.
Reablement Approach to Adult Care Social Work Cases [PDF: 531Kb] This report seeks approval to develop the Reablement Service across the areas of North and South Localities.
Re-Inspection of the Homeless Service by The Scottish Housing Regulator [PDF: 314Kb] The report recommends action on findings of the Scottish Housing Regulator’s re-inspection of the Homeless Service in June 2010.
Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland Inspections (SCSWIS) [pdf: 386kb] Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (SCSWIS) is the new unified independent scrutiny and improvement body for care and children’s services. SCSWIS took over the work of the Care Commission in April 2011. This report advises Committee of the key findings of inspections carried out in Perth & Kinross between August 2010 and July 2011. During this period 11 inspections were carried out on 10 establishments across the four quality themes: Quality of Care and Support, Environment, Staffing and Management and Leadership.
Social Work Inspection Agency (SWIA) – Report on Prison Based Social Work Service [pdf – 627kb] This report details the findings from the Social Work Inspection Agency (SWIA) inspection carried out at HMP Perth and HMP Open Estate.
Use of Council Tax to Deliver Affordable Housing [pdf - 303kb] This report makes recommendations on the use of Council Tax Income Second Homes Earmarked to facilitate the delivery of affordable housing.

Audit of Food Law Enforcement Service – Food Standards Agency August 2010 Audits of food law enforcement services are part of the Food Standards Agency’s arrangements to improve consumer protection and confidence in relation to food and feed.
Policy and Level of Service for Winter Service 2011/12 [pdf - 660kb] This report recommends the level of service to be provided by the Council for the gritting and snow clearing of roads and footways in Perth and Kinross during the winter of 2011/12.
