| Audit of Food Law Enforcement Service – August 2010 |
Audits of food law enforcement services are part of the Food
Standards Agency’s arrangements to improve consumer
protection and confidence in relation to food and feed. |

Building Development – standards and guidelines |
Building Standards have a wide range of responsibilities that
relate to almost all building and alteration works and their
overriding purpose is to safeguard people in and around buildings
and the conservation of fuel and energy. |

This plan is made up of the
Structure Plan and
Local Plans which show how much development may take place,
where it will take place and where it is unlikely to be
allowed. |

Economic Development Strategy 2009 – 2014 |
This strategy sets out a strategic framework and long term
vision for jobs and opportunities in Perth and Kinross. |

Local Plans |
The plans contain detailed guidance on where we will encourage
development and where it is unlikely to be allowed. They are
an essential point of reference for anyone who wants to build in
Perth & Kinross or to know what could be built in your local
area and each plan provides a statement of the planning policies
and proposals for that area. |

This report outlines the findings of a recently undertaken
retail review which provides an up to date assessment of retail
expenditure and turnover relationships within the Council area,
together with the forecast capacity opportunities. |

Structure Plan |
This plan, together with the
Local Plans, is used by us for making decisions on development
proposals and should be used by citizens before making or
commenting on a planning application. |

Sustainable Development Framework |
To demonstrate its commitment and leadership we have agreed
a framework to help us be more systematic about how we promote
our sustainability objectives. |
