Additional Support for Learning – Interim Position Statement This statement is part of the overall Additional Support Needs Strategy and outlines the arrangements for implementing the new duties introduced by the Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Act 2004.
Additional Support Needs Review A review was commissioned which plays a vital part in ensuring that the needs of children and young people are met and this report outlines the background and key findings.
Attainment in Perth and Kinross Schools 2011 [pdf – 1.4mb] This report presents a summary of pupil attainment and performance of pupils presented by Perth and Kinross schools for the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) examinations.
Creating a Curriculum for Excellence This strategy supports the development of a Curriculum for Excellence and we have developed a five part strategy from 2009 onwards.

HMIe Summary of Evaluation of the Educational Psychology Service The Educational Psychology Service was inspected in November 2009.
HMIe Validated self-evaluation In October 2009, Education and Children's Services was supported in conducting a Validated Self-Evaluation (VSE).  The report reflects the positive improvement journey been made over the past few years.
More Choices, More Chances and 16+ Learning Choices [pdf – 658kb] This report provides information on the progress being made with the delivery of the Scottish Government’s More Choices, More Chances Strategy and in particular the introduction of 16+ Learning Choices, an initiative to support all young people into positive and sustained destinations.
National Pilot – How Good Is Our Culture & Sport [pdf – 322kb] We were invited by the Scottish Government and the Voice of Chief Officers of Culture and Leisure (VOCAL) to participate in the national pilot of a draft quality improvement framework for culture and sport services in Scotland.

Standards and Quality in Schools, Pre-School Centres and Community Learning and Development – various summary reports The inspections and reviews carried out are central parts of the approach to quality improvement in Scottish education.  Regular reports are submitted to the Executive Sub-Committee of Lifelong Learning Committee setting out the key findings and areas for improvement following inspections of schools, pre-school centres and community learning and development services.
