Fair Trading |
Our Trading Standards service enforces many pieces of
legislation relating to Fair Trading including car clocking,
package holidays/timeshare, pricing, consumer credit/loan sharks,
product counterfeiting and mis-descriptions of goods and
services. |

This survey provides a consistent Scotland-wide Road Condition
Indicator (RCI), which includes data on carriageway cracking and
takes account of the defect severity and its relative importance
for road users. |

This consultation paper contains a package of regulatory
measures initiating a step change in how waste will be managed in
Scotland, provides background context to the regulations and set

Review of Kerbside Waste and Recycling Collection Arrangements [pdf

In an attempt to provide equity of service, a review of all
kerbside waste and recycling services was deemed necessary. The
review proposes changes to mixed food and garden waste, general
waste and dry mixed recyclate collections. |

State of the Environment |
The State of the Environment contains information within nine
key areas which highlight the environmental issues facing our
region. Its purpose is to provide a diagnostic tool that will help
to inform plan-makers, decision-makers and the community about the
condition of the environment. |
