Why is it important?
Child protection is a key function of Children’s Services. The timely response to the Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration in relation to providing the required reports ensures that cases can be progressed and the appropriate decisions made where compulsory measures of supervision are being considered.

What influences performance?
The reports are prepared following an assessment of a child’s living circumstances by social workers. However priority will be given to immediate operational Child Protection/family support matters by social workers.
What is Perth & Kinross Council's role?
Social workers carry out both the investigations, assessments and the report writing in line with the Children (Scotland) Act 1995.
