The ultimate ambition of the Council is to achieve a significant, measurable improvement in the quality of life of every citizen of Perth and Kinross by delivering or facilitating excellent, customer focused services.  PKC Performs makes it easier for citizens to hold the Council to account as it reports performance information on a number of meaningful indicators for each of the Council’s key objectives.

Corporate Objectives

Securing the future of our communities is shaped by the Council and Community Planning Partners' commitment to improving services and delivering outcomes which will enhance the quality of life for our citizens and making the best use of public resources. The Corporate Plan outlines the Council's commitment to deliver the Single Outcome Agreement and sets out key priorities to ensure the ambitious outcomes in the SOA are achieved.

Council Services

As part of the Council's overall approach to performance management and reporting, Services use a wide variety of indicators to demonstrate how well they are performing. Our approach includes indicators outlined within the Single Outcome Agreement, Corporate Plan and Statutory Performance Indicators. Services also monitor the indicators incorporated into their Joint Business Management and Improvement Plans and Annual Performance Reports.

Best Value

The Council monitors a number of key performance indicators to measure the progress in achieving Best Value. The core Best Value characteristics are set out but the Local Government in Scotland Act 2003 which requires local authorities to make arrangements to secure continuous improvement in the performance of functions.
