Elections
Voting in elections is your chance to have a say on who
represents you in your local council, in the UK parliament, in the
Scottish Parliament and in Europe. Referendums, although rare, also
provide you with the opportunity to have your say on important
issues that affect Scotland or the UK as a whole.
By voting you have an opportunity to have your say on important
issues and decisions that affect you every day. This could be
anything from roads and recycling in your area, to education and
climate change.
