Perth and Kinross is part of the Mid Scotland and Fife Region - which has 7 Members of Parliament (MSPs) - and has two constitutuencies, Perth and North Tayside, which have one MSP each.
The Scottish Parliament can pass laws on all devolved matters. These include health, planning, education, training, local government, social work, housing and economic development. The Scottish Parliament makes decisions through debates and committees.

- Introduce a bill to change the law
- Propose an amendment to a bill
- Ask a question to the Scottish Executive.
