Community Safety Committee

Purpose
The remit of the Committee is to determine and implement, in
partnership with other agencies, the Council's policy in relation
to community safety; determine and implement, in partnership with
other agencies, the Council's policy in relation to crime
prevention; oversee the management of the Criminal Justice Services
by the Council; exercise the functions of the Council in relation
to matters of emergency planning; establish and sustain effective
liaison with Tayside Fire Brigade and Tayside Police; determine the
Council's policy, in partnership with other agencies, on road
safety; to exercise the functions of the Council in terms of
Trading Standards and Environmental Health.
