    19.1.1 Children's Services

    The Adoption (Scotland) Act 1978 be replaced by the Adoption and Children (Scotland) Act 2007

    11. Appointments to Outside Bodies

    (i) Perth Festival of the Arts

    Councillor E Maclachlan has intimated her resignation from Perth Festival of the Arts.  The Council is asked to nominate a replacement to the Perth Festival of the Arts.

    12. Programme of Meetings

    (i) As members will be aware, the UK Parliamentary General Election must be held by June 2010, in the event of the Election being held on 6 May 2010, the Council is asked to agree that the Council meeting scheduled for 5 May 2010 be postponed until Tuesday 11 May 2010 at 2.00pm.

    (ii) The Council is asked to agree that a special meeting of the Council be held on Wednesday 24 March 2010 at 2.00pm, and that the meeting of the Community Safety Committee scheduled for 2.00pm that day, will follow the Council meeting.
