Purpose
The remit of the Committee is to exercise the functions of the
Council in relation to bereavement services; to exercise the
functions of the Council in relation to Aberfeldy Caravan Park; to
determine and deliver the Council's obligations in relation to
environmental assessment of its projects, programmes, plans and
strategies; to exercise the functions of the Council's policy in
relation to Environmental Health and Trading Standards legislation;
to oversee the control and supervision of the Council's
Environmental Maintenance Service; to determine the Council's
Environmental Policy, in partnership with other agencies, to ensure
that the Council meets its environmental and sustainable
development obligations uinder international, UK and Scottish Law;
to exercise the functions of the Council and to determine and
deliver the Council's obligations in relation to Environmental
Protection and Enhancement legislation; to oversee the control and
supervision of the Council's fleet management service; to exercise
the functions of the Council in relation to parks and open spaces;
to exercise the functions of the Council in relation to waste
management; determine and implement the Council's recycling
strategy.
