Housing and Health Committee

Purpose
The remit of the Committee is to exercise the functions of the
Council as Social Work Authority in respect of Adult Care; promote
and develop relationships with local health and social care
agencies and to work in partnership to ensure the provision of
health servides for people living in Perth and Kinross; monitor and
respond to the activities and policies of Tayside Health and other
agencies; to exercise the functions of the Council in terms of
Housing legislation; to exercise the duties and functions of the
Council contained in legislation relating to Housing
Standards.

When dealing with Housing matters, the Committee also consists of
two representatives from the Perth and Kinross Tenants' Federation
in a non-voting capacity.
