    Note: The Committee's attention is drawn to this report which was launched by the Accounts Commission on 26 August 2010, the first in a new series of publications intended to assist Councils in a time of financial constraint.  A report on the Council's response will be submitted to the next meeting of the Committee.

  7. Appointment of Member of Audit Sub Committee

    The composition of the Audit Sub-Committee as set out in the Council's Scheme of Administration is five members of the Scrutiny Committee, together with one non-Council member appointed by the Council on the basis of that person's financial expertise.

    The current membership of the Audit Sub Committee is Councillors K Baird, A Gaunt, W Lumsden and B Vaughan, together with Mr J Howie.

    The Committee is asked to appoint a member of the Scrutiny Committee to the vacancy left by the death of Councillor J Law.
