Copyright - Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations 2005
The Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations 2005 came into
force on 1 July 2005. As the title suggests, the purpose of
the Regulations is to establish a framework that provides for the
effective re-use of public sector information. The
Regulations define ‘re-use’ as the use by a person of a
document held by a public sector body for a purpose other than the
initial purpose for which that document was produced.
Policy advice on the re-use of public sector information, best
practice and the complaints process under the Regulations can be
found on
www.legislation.gov.uk.
