Structures in Place - The Local Regeneration Partnership

Three Local Regeneration Partnerships (LRPs) have been established to develop and implement the regeneration programme.  There is a partnership for the geographical area of Fairfield/Muirton; Rattray; and Letham/Hillyland.

These partnerships include:
• managers of relevant Council services (Housing, Environment Services, Education & Children’s Services)
• managers of Community Planning partners (NHS Tayside/P&K Community Health Partnership, Tayside Police)
• representatives of local community organisations (tenants associations, Community Councils)
• managers or project workers of voluntary organisations commissioned by the CPP to deliver services in the areas (eg Business Support Group, YMCA)
• managers of other local landlords (eg Fairfield Housing Co-operative)
• the local Community Learning and Development worker

The Role of the Local Regeneration Partnerships
The LRPs are taking forward the regeneration agenda by:
o overseeing the implementation of the ROA and co-ordinate the local planning of identified services
o engaging with the community, all relevant local organisations and local elected members
o encourage the development of projects, in line with the criteria of the allocated funding, to address the needs of the local community

The LRPs meet on a monthly basis.
