Tenders and contracts
Across Scotland a programme of Public Sector procurement reform is
currently underway. Detailed information on this programme
can be found on the
Scottish
Government website.
The key objectives stated by the Scottish Procurement &
Commercial directorate are:
- Maximising efficiency and collaboration.
- Delivering and demonstrating real cash savings across the
public sector.
- Improving access to public sector contracts, particularly for
SMEs.
- Embedding sustainable procurement at the heart of the reform
agenda.
Supporting those aims has led to a number of collaborative
arrangements being put in place across Scotland.
These include
Scottish Procurement having let a number of
national contracts open to all public bodies, Scotland
Excel the Centre of Procurement Expertise
for Scotland's local government sector, and The Tayside Procurement
Consortium which is a local collaboration across the
Tayside placing contracts on behalf of Angus Council, Dundee
City Counciland Perth and Kinross Council.
The following pages have been designed to provide our business
partners and other interested parties with information and advice
on procurement processes used to deliver contracts on
behalf of Perth & Kinross Council.
If you have comments on the design or content of these pages we
would be happy to consider these as part of the ongoing development
of our work.
