Childcare and Family Information Service
Childcare Information Services were set up across the country to
ensure that parents and carers have ready access to childcare
information and guidance which is comprehensive, up to date and
user friendly.
Information on all types of childcare including childminders,
nurseries, playgroups, out of school clubs and parent & toddler
groups is held on computer so that it can be updated as soon as we
are notified of changes. Details available include opening
hours, charges, vacancies and school pick ups.
The service can be contacted on 0845 601 4477, e-mail childcare@pkc.gov.uk or you
can visit the office in the Community Wing at Perth Grammar
School situated on Bute Drive to pick up information. Details
can be provided by post, by e-mail or given over the
phone. Most childcare providers have also chosen to make
information about their service available through
the website which links Childcare Information Services across
Scotland, http://www.scottishchildcare.gov.uk/.
